Haotian (Max) Wang

max                Haotian is originally from Beijng, China and grew up in Vancouver and Shanghai. He is now a Philosophy and International Studies double major at Macalester. Haotian prefers roles of hostile expert witnesses. Outside Mock Trial, one hobby for Haotian is to collect and taste chocolates from every country in the world, and sadly is still at 26 by 2013.

Alex Klopp

Alex Klopp           Alex “Corn on the” Klopp is a first-year member of Macalester Mock Trial. Alex is majoring in Economics, Corn, and Statistics, and has already sold his soul/corn to the finance world. In addition to Mock Trial, Alex is also on Macalester’s rowing team, eats a lot of corn, and enjoys running marathons. Did you know he ran three?

Tucker Stapelmann

IMG_0700          Tucker Stapelmann (February 12, 1809 – April 15, 1865) was the 16th President of the United States, serving from March 1861 until his assassination in April 1865. Tucker successfully led the United States through its greatest constitutional, military, and moral crisis – the American Civil War – preserving the Union while ending slavery and promoting economic and financial modernization. Reared in a poor family on the western frontier, Tucker was mostly self-educated, and became a country lawyer, a Whig Party leaderIllinois state legislator during the 1830s, and a one-term member of the United States House of Representatives during the 1840s.

Rachel Banen (2012-2015)

Rachel Banen

Rachel Banen is a third year student at Macalester College. As a State Department brat, Rachel grew up in several different countries around the world. Her experience overseas ignited her passion for international affairs and politics, but her participation in high school Model United Nations influenced her to join Mock Trial during her sophomore year. Mock trial has become an essential part of the Macalester experience for Rachel. Rachel quit Mac Trial in December of 2015.
